Superboy and Robin confront Savage while he has a knife to Rora’s throat. He wants them to give him the Doom Scroll. Superboy tries to melt the knife, but it is made of Nth metal, man that stuff is everywhere! Superboy then goes into a speech about good and heroism prevailing, Robin distracts Savage and the two boys bicker. Robin reveals his plan to use the Egyptian poison gas on Savage after which Superboy attacks. Robin grabs Rora and retrieves the Super car, driving it right into Savage who subsequently disappears. Before they can look for him Rora reveals that Cyborg is next on the Doom Scroll.

5Story – 5: The different narration between Robin and Superboy is reminiscent of the old Superman and Batman series. Yet each is still given their own uniqueness, separate from each other and separate from their fathers’. There is a little more bickering in this issue. Cutting off Superboy’s speech was kind of a jerk move by Robin, but he is kind of a jerk. They are still a fun pair to read about.

5Art – 5: I like the spread showing half the page as Robin and half the page as Superboy, I am a sucker for these kinds of layouts. Max Raynor continues to impress me.
