Actor John Krasinski has revealed via Twitter that he will be voicing the role of Superman in the upcoming Warner Bros. animated film “DC League of Super-Pets”.
Krasinski posted the following image of Superman and Krypto flying together, saying, “Always wanted to do a buddy movie with The Rock. Well, these are the roles we were born to play! (FYI… DJ’s the one with the tongue).”
John Krasinski is probably best known for his role playing Jim Halpert on NBC’s popular TV series “The Office”, but has also been seen in films like “The Quiet Place” and its sequel, as well as the TV series “Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan”.
In May 2022 the world will be introduced to the “DC League of Super-Pets” animated movie, in which Krypto the Super-Dog will be forced to lead a team of newly powered rescue animals to save Metropolis.
Dwayne Johnson voices Krypto, Kevin Hart voices Ace, while the pair will be joined by Natasha Lyonne as Merton the turtle, Vanessa Bayer as PB the pig, and Diego Luna as Chip the squirrel.
It’s worth to note that Superman’s logo looks similar to the Max Fleischer Superman design. Also it appears that Superman has what looks to be a gold wrist guard on his left wrist.
