James Gunn, co-CEO of DC Studios, has revealed that he has been in contact with Zack Snyder regarding the upcoming slate of DC films, while also responding to calls for Snyder’s DC vision to be continued over on Netflix.
“I have to say, this has got to be the wackiest hashtag ever,” said Gunn in response to Twitter fans calling for Netflix to purchase the rights to the ‘SnyderVerse’.
“1) Netflix hasn’t expressed any such interest (although we’ve discussed other stuff) & 2) Zack hasn’t expressed any interest & seems to be happy doing what he’s doing (and, yes, we too have talked).”
Gunn went on to confirm that Snyder has touched base with him. “He contacted me to express his support about my choices. He’s a great guy. Again, he seems really happy with the massive world building he’s doing now.”
Zack Snyder is currently working on a two-part “Rebel Moon” Star Wars project.
Gunn is writing the script for “Superman: Legacy” which is scheduled to be released July 11, 2025.
