The CW has released the final promotional trailer and two character videos (Oliver and The Monitor) for the final two parts of the 5-part “Crisis on Infinite Earths” crossover.
These two episodes are scheduled to air back-to-back on The CW in the USA on Tuesday, January 14 starting at 8.00pm ET/PT.
From what I can see Tyler’s Superman will be back. 🙂
I just hope that they do right by bringing back Routh’s Superman.
We know Hoechlin is coming back, as he’s getting his own show. But I’m wondering if they are going to try to sorta follow the original comic story, and have an all-in-one “New Earth”, or if they will try to restore the Multiverse. As someone who both really didn’t like what they did to Smallville Clark, and has officially given Brandon Routh forgiveness for his part in Superman Returns (Bryan Singer on the other hand…), I’m hoping for the latter.
I always liked that Brandon Routh’s Superman was the Superman of the Christopher Reeve/ Richard Donner universe. Or at the very least a variation of that version of Superman. What I didn’t like was Brian Singer’s approach to the character. The whole story of superman having a child he didn’t know about, the Kryptonite island, Lois writing an article on “Why the world doesn’t need Superman”, and not giving Superman a villain to actually challenge him physically.
