After the release of Part 4 of his long-running “Superman vs Hulk” fan-created animated fight sequence, animator Michael Habjan posted a new video showing his Christopher Reeve model in the “Man of Steel” costume. Now he’s done it again, but this time showing what Christopher Reeve would have looked like in Brandon Routh’s “Superman Returns” costume.
Check out Michael’s “Superman vs Hulk” The Meeting, Part 1, Part 2, and Part 3 on YouTube.
I really hope from my request to this guy that he can recreate the plane sequence from Superman Returns with Reeve’s Superman in SR suit 🙂
That would be epically awesome Nate1986. The plane scene in superman returns is one of the best parts of that film, and to see that same scene but with the Reeve inspired Superman would be super cool. The DC/WB animation department should hire this guy. It would be amazing to see a full animated movie with this Reeve inspired Superman.
To the person who likes to keep giving me negative votes for no reason.I don’t know why you like to keep down voting me. Don’t you have anything better to do? It’s very comic book villain behavior if you ask me.
That is way too bright to be the “Returns” suit. “Returns” is duller and darker than any other on screen suit. This is more the “Returns” pattern.
Not sure, man. I’d say this is pretty dark.
I’d rather see Reeve doing the plane rescue in his actual suit.
This guy is an amazing animator and I have absolutely LOVED his Hulk/Superman series. So good. However, I have never been a fan of the Superman Returns suit. For me, they got it the wrong way round and made his blue more bright and colourful and the red was darker and less saturated. I think it works better the other way. I also wasn’t a fan of how small the S was, the S belt buckle or how high his neck line was. But that’s just me.
I could have maybe lived with neckline if the colors weren’t miserable, the s wasn’t tiny, and that they didn’t keep repeating the symbol on his belt boots and everything else. (Yet none for the back of the cape.)
The neckline is a bit tricky because making it too big or too small can make it look weird. Though sometimes you can balance it. Byrne kind of drew the shirt collar big but he filled the space with cape right up to the bottom of his neck.
That is truly amazing. Kudos to Mr. Habjan for an amazing work.
I never liked this suit.
This guy is awesome. And you can clearly see him improve his skills through the years.
