The CW has released an image of Azie Tesfai as the new Guardian for Season 6 of “Supergirl”.

Tesfai, who plays Kelly Olsen, will make her Guardian debut in “Blind Spots,” the 12th episode of the current season, which will air on September 21. Guardian was a role created by Kelly’s brother, James Olsen.

Along with playing a prominent role in the episode, Tesfai also co-wrote it along with co-producer J. Holtham, and will be taking on themes of racial inequality within it. The episode was directed by David Ramsey, who will also make an appearance as John Diggle.

I do think some parts of the suit looks good like the helmet and shield. The rest I think needs some work.

I’m just wondering why they would make Kelly Olsen the new Guardian when there’s only half a season left of Supergirl. The only explanation that I can think of is either she will have her own spin off series or she will move to another series like the Flash or Legends of Tomorrow after Supergirl finishes.

I was talking about any plans for this charature from the story perspective. It just doesn’t make sense to me to introduce Kelly as a new superhero for only one season of a show that will be ending soon. Will she be joining another show after this one? Will she grow more into her superhero role after Supergirl’s series is finished? If this was the plan for her to become the new Guardian, then why didn’t they do it sooner, like two seasons ago? It just seems like such a sort run for a new superhero if they plan on… Read more »

Well for the last season, this has so far been weak. Going back over the previous seasons, and seeing how they’ve progressively deteriorated into dramas, it’s been hard to take, let alone get into. But in all fairness, money or lack of it, has probably had a lot to do with it.

I can’t argue with you there. The last few seasons have been declining. I admit that I’ve only been watching the show to watch Melissa play Supergirl. The story….eh not so much.

Much like Superman 4 the quest for peace( which I do enjoy watching from time to time) I just feel that the final season of Supergirl is having similar issues. Melissa isn’t the what’s wrong with the season. She’s always in my opinion done a fantastic job in the role. The problem I feel is the story. It just hasn’t clicked in my opinion. It needs a lot of work. I just hope that I will find the second half of this final season to be more interesting come August. I guess that’s a wait and see matter. Still, Melissa… Read more »
