December 13, 2001: Shield/Triangle Numbers... Gone!
The Superman Homepage caught up with Superman Comics Editor, Eddie Berganza and asked him why there was no Shield (Triangle) Number on the front cover of "Superman #177", and here was his response..."They're going bye-bye due to the nature of the unconnected stories.
In the future storyline titles will connect not triangle/shield numbers."
There you have it... how Collectors will organize their Superman comic collection will depend on personal preference... Collect them in published order or by storyline or even by comic title... The choice is your's.
