In our latest Superman Poll we asked you the following question:
Have you read the “DC versus Marvel” crossover from 1995?
Nearly 60% of you have read the “DC versus Marvel” story, meaning quite a few readers will be looking forward to the upcoming omnibus release of the 1995 crossover event. These fantastic stories, originally co-presented by the two powerhouse comic book publishers, have been highly sought after and hard to find for most readers – but they’re making their return in DC Versus Marvel Omnibus and DC/Marvel: The Amalgam Age Omnibus, both publishing on August 6. I’ll be interested to see what new readers think of these stories all the years later.

I remember this 4-part crossover fairly well. I think I had even voted at my local comic book shop back during that time. If memory serves me correctly, I remember that Batman defeated Captain America, and this was way before that silly phrase existed called, “He wins because he’s Batman.” Thus, although there were some outcomes I thought were wrong, I think overall, I was mostly satisfied with the results such as Superman defeating The Hulk, and Wolverine defeating Lobo.
