After receiving 17 nominations in the 2021 Will Eisner Comic Industry Awards, the “Oscars of the comics world,” celebrating the industry’s very best releases and talent, DC has come away with multiple wins across a number of categories.
Both “Superman Smashes the Klan” and “Superman’s Pal Jimmy Olsen” received multiple nominations in a number of categories, winning the following awards:
- Best Limited Series: Superman’s Pal Jimmy Olsen, by Matt Fraction and Steve Lieber (DC)
- Best Humor Publication: Superman’s Pal Jimmy Olsen, by Matt Fraction and Steve Lieber (DC)
- Best Adaptation from Another Medium: Superman Smashes the Klan, adapted by Gene Luen Yang and Gurihiru (DC)
Chosen by a highly lauded panel of judges and voted on by industry professionals, the winners were announced in an online ceremony during Comic-Con@Home on July 23.
I finally was able to finish reading Superman Smashes the Klan two weeks ago. I know, I should have finished reading it a long time ago. Lol 🙂
I’m glad to read that it’s getting this award. It deserves it.
