I can’t say I’ve read the other nominees in these categories, but in my opinion Superman Smashes the Klan and Superman’s Pal, Jimmy Olsen deserve all the awards. Great stuff.
I’m saying it right now, WB Animation should make an animated film adaptation of “Superman Smashes The Klan.” I think it would be great!
There are certain topics, in particular rear life occurrences in which using this character,… should NOT be involved with. This is in that category.
Superman has been a reflection of the American (and arguably international) zeitgeist since his very first appearance. He should absolutely be involved with these occurrences or their fictional extensions, especially when they are fairly morally unambiguous.
I have to get around to reading these. That’s the problem with bad quality monthlies; the good minis and one-shots pass under the radar as well.
