They’ve got to rework that “it was all just a dream” story after the backlash.

I wouldn’t be surprised.
The backlash on this was pretty loud. I follow DCcomics on instagram and that post had several thousand negative responses and insta is usually a pretty mellow place, I can only imagine the wash of hate that twitter got hit with.

Doomsday Clock is still quite ahead of continuity so its effects won’t be seen until later. Scott Snyder and James Tynion confirmed this in JL 31 since the JSA don’t exist in present day and aren’t remembered by anyone in the League, with them only appearing thanks to Hypertime time travel. They hint at Dr. Manhattan in that issue. In DDC however the JSA 100% is back in the current timeline. Unless this is the issue where they tell us it’s all a dream, they can keep it.

. I’m really skeptical as to how much if anything layed out in that issue matters going forward. But I to hope that Johnathan and Martha are alive.

As I said to my own reply to , there will be effects from Doomsday Clock, but just not yet.

We already know that the new leaked timeline from a few months ago is from DDC as the issue brings up a detail in that leak (Wonder Woman’s new history in WW2 with the JSA) and even confirms the 5G rumors, or at least the existence of it.

I’m so sad for Ivan Reis. One of the greatest Superman artists of the decade teaming up with one of the worst writers of any era.

Such good art being wasted on bad writing and ideas is one of the most frustrating aspects of this whole thing.

Yes, just compare this cover versus Action Comics #1018’s cover…That is the art Bendis deserves.

Exactly what I was thinking. Bendis and Romita are a perfect match for their run.

I’m really hoping that Doomsday clock is Rebirth Part 2. I don’t want to see Ma and Pa gone again.
