“Supergirl” S04E04 “Ahimsa” Sneak Peek Video

The CW has released a preview clip from the fourth episode of Season 4 of “Supergirl”.

“[Manchester Black] comes to this country to kind of avenge a wrong done to somebody he loved, and as he’s struggling with that, J’onn is trying to help him,” co-showrunner/executive producer Robert Rovner tells EW.

Titled “Ahimsa”, this episode is scheduled to air on The CW in the USA on Sunday, November 4 at 8.00pm ET/PT.

J’ONN MEETS MANCHESTER BLACK

When Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) needs help, Alex (Chyler Leigh) asks Lena (Katie McGrath) and Brainiac (Jesse Rath) to team up. Meanwhile, J’onn (David Haredwood) questions his decision to quit the DEO. However, after running into Manchester Black (guest star David Ajala), he realizes there are a lot of ways to help his fellow aliens during this tumultuous time.

Armen V. Kevorkian directed the episode with story by Eric Carrasco and teleplay by Katie Rose Rogers & Jess Kardos.

I’m not the biggest Manchester Black fan but offhand it seems like having him avenging a wronged loved one veers away from his original concept? Wasn’t he basically a dude a rough childhood who grew up with a hate on for anybody with even the slightest developed sense of morality? (hence while he’s disgusted by Superman and kind of a commentary on people in and out of fandom who think they’re just too grimdark badass for everything.)
