Rescue Dog to Play Krypto in “Titans” Season 3

Krypto

Joshua Orpin, the actor who plays Conner Kent on the HBO Max series “Titans,” has introduced the world to the new dog playing Krypto in the show’s upcoming third season.

Orpin posted the above photo on his Instagram account, introducing us to Pepsi, the rescue dog who will be the show’s “newest Krypto”, while filling us in on his backstory.

“This little guy is only young, but he’s already a superstar… with an incredible backstory.” write Orpin. “He was found as a stray in Missouri and taken to a shelter, where he was at risk of being euthanised. Saved by @lucky13rescue and fostered at a boarding kennel, he was finally adopted into a loving home with trainer Melissa Millett – to play Krypto in our third season of Titans.”

“He was small, timid and lacking socialization, but very fortunately made it out of the US and was delivered to Melissa + the Krypto team one week before the pandemic hit.”

“To top it all off, he also tested positive for Heartworm. The delays we experienced due to Covid-19 this year gave him the time he needed to recover and train.”

“Now healthy, happy and brave, Pepsi is killing it in front of the camera this season.”

“We are all so proud and thankful for his resilience and courage, this fella is about as close as you can get to a real life superhero! Can’t wait for you to see him on your screens in 2021.”

“This just goes to show that all animals have potential, and deserve a second chance! If you’re thinking about adopting, please check your local shelters and rescue organisations for your next family member and best friend.”

“Swipe right for an exclusive behind the scenes pic of me at work, shooting #titansseason3. Yes, this is a real scene and yes, believe it or not, this is professional acting.”

I thought that there was already a dog playing Krypto. Did something happen to the other one?

Oh I hope so! That news would be a great Christmas gift for me as well as a great holiday gift for so many of us Superman fans. Thanks for letting me know JasEl! 😀
I truly believe that the more we talk about wanting routh back as Superman for a series and or movie the more it’s likely to happen.
Happy holidays! 🙂

Very glad to know he has been given a loving home which is most important but getting to be a tv star and and a superhero is a cool bonus.
