The CW has released 20 images from the 9th episode of Season 3 of “Supergirl”.
Titled “Reign”, this episode is scheduled to air on The CW in the USA on Monday, December 4 at 8.00pm ET/PT.
REIGN CHALLENGES SUPERGIRL
Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) investigates a mysterious symbol popping up all over National City, tracing its origins back to an ancient prophecy and the mark of the World Killer, Reign (Odetee Annable). Meanwhile, the tension between Lena (Katie McGrath) and Morgan Edge (guest star Adrian Pasdar) continues to build, causing James to step in and offer up some protection, and possibly igniting a spark in the process.
The episode was directed by Glen Winter from a script by Paula Yoo & Caitlin Parrish.

I can’t wait to see this one.
I can’t quite explain why but I’m getting a little but of a “Death Of Superman” vibe from these shots and while it usually doesn’t bother me when they borrow a bit from Superman stories for her, if they full copped the Death/Return arc for Kara that’d be way too far IMO.
I find myself having a hard time getting into the whole Reign thing so far at least because I think Kryptonian survivors are becoming to this show what speedster villains became to The Flash. Granted, last season was Daxam but power wise that’s functionally the same.
