I decided to give the first season of Titans a whirl when it came to DVD, and I was very disappointed. But I don’t want to just come to these comment sections and sound all negative about everything DC; so if anyone watches the second season, and they find it really good, please send me a PM with your (spoiler free) recommendation and I will give it a shot.

I haven’t seen season one yet, but I will give it a chance at some point. From the looks of this trailer, it looks like they did a good job in casting Superboy and Krypto.

They either should have made the guy playing Superboy workout a whole lot more or gotten someone substantially less jacked for the post credits tease at the end of season 1

What is it about the first season that you didn’t like afriend if you don’t mind my asking? I haven’t seen the first season yet, so I am curious about any feedback about the series so far.

How to say it without spoilers:
I seriously doubt that the people behind it have ever read a single (Teen) Titans comic; exactly zero of the characters are like their comic counterparts. The initial storyline isn’t that engrossing. And the “adult” nature of the show (“**** Batman!”) comes off as having been written by a fourteen years old.

Sorry, afriend but I disagree about that. Producer of this show is Mr. DC himself, Geoff Johns. Sure, the show has a dark tone to it and is much more violent than other DC series. It can rather be compared to The Watchmen movie than to the Supergirl series for example. A matter of taste, like so much else. However, from my point of view it was the best way to approach a comic series like The Titans to make it a new and interesting show even for people who maybe don´t know the Comic books. And for the fans… Read more »

The other producer and main writer is Akiva Goldsman, Mr. Batman & Robin…
But I agree it’s a taste thing, if you enjoy the show great. I’ll just look elsewhere to spend my entertainment dollar.

hmmm… I would have to disagree about the show not being good. I have read many titans comics. Although the show has a dark tone to it, with the exception of Starfire and her powers being different, each character acted as one might assume if it were a darker world then the comics they were featured in back in the day. I personally feel its one of the better comic book TV shows on right now. The only shows I am looking more forward too than this is the crisis crossovers in the Arrowverse… and I mean just the crossover.… Read more »

I’m going to have to watch the series. Until I do, I can’t form any opinion on it. I guess it depends on what direction they had taken the show. I hear some liked it and others didn’t. I guess I’m going to have to see for myself to decide on whether or not I like it. I do appreciate everyone on sharing your thoughts on this series. Thank you everyone.
