I know I have said this before, but Melissa is Supergirl. Just like Reeve will always be Superman. I like some of the other actors as well, but for me Reeve is the best. He looks and acts like Superman. No other actor looks quite like Superman, but Reeve always did. He is the best version. That’s my opinion.

And in my opinion,Melissa Benoist is the best actress to have played the role of Supergirl. Yes there have been other actresses to have played the last daughter of Krypton, but Melissa is the best. She doesn’t play the role of Supergirl, she is Supergirl. She is the best Supergirl. Again, that’s just my opinion.

I remember watching the episodes that finally brought Superman in and thinking that in a lot of ways their interaction was the kind of thing I had always wanted to see with Christopher Reeve and Helen Slater.

Melissa does have the advantage of being part of a project that is a generally good take on the character and having lots of time and room to develop the character. But I basically agree with you that she has made the role very much her own.

Supergirl’s Season 2 premiere was definitely one of my favorite episodes as well. Seeing both Superman and Supergirl was a historic moment for both of them.
