New “Batman/Superman” Comic Book Team Announced

Batman/Superman

Once the two-month “DC Future State” event concludes its January-February run in early 2021, new creative teams will be taking over many of DC’s main titles.

While Superman fans await to learn who will be taking over from writer Brian Michael Bendis on both “Action Comics” and “Superman,” it was revealed during the “Future State: Batman” panel at “CCXP Worlds: A Journey of Hope” virtual expo held today, that Gene Luen Yang will be taking over the writing duties on the “Batman/Superman” title.

Yang, who is also the writer on the upcoming 2-issue “DC Future State: Batman/Superman” story, will be joined by Ivan Reis on art duties when the book resumes with issue #16 in March.

I’m glad to see Reis is staying with Superman. I wasn’t a fan of Yang’s time on Superman, but I loved Superman Smashes the Klan. Hopefully my dislike of the former was due to editorial decisions and not Yang’s own perspective on Superman.

I wonder which Superman will be teaming up with Batman for this series. Clark or his “grown up son” Jon.
I find that it’s just ridiculous that they aged Jon to adulthood within five years of his life.

Depends on if or not they’ve learned anything from their mistakes. DC’s track record for doing so….is not good.
