We flashback to how Star City S.T.A.R. Scientists trapped Robinson Goode to turn her into Red Cloud. They did this in an effort to cover up misdeeds. Said scientists later disappeared. In present day Metropolis, big announcements are about to be made… Fire Chief Melody Moore is running for mayor, and Superman has decided to publicly reveal he is Clark Kent. Big steps are being taken that will change Metropolis and the entire world forever.
The Legion of Doom’s attack has left the Justice League and much of Metropolis in ruins. Superman is doing his best to fight them. Yet it may not be enough. To make matters worse, Leviathan has joined Lex Luthor and his group of villains, tipping the scales in the Legion’s favor.
Story – 5: I admit in recent years I’ve been cynical about modern comics. Certain titles have given me hope for them though. Bendis’ work on this book and this chapter is among those. “Metropolis Doom!” throws a lot at the reader, but it does so in an entertaining, exciting way. Brian Michael Bendis has breathed new life into Superman’s world, and there don’t seem to be any signs of that life fizzling out anytime soon. This is another DC comic I highly recommend.
Art – 4: Okay, John Romita Junior is a great artist. Yet, his Superman and Clark Kent look odd. It’s like he’s trying to make Peter Parker sketches into Superman main art.
Cover Art – 4: Superman looks off kilter in this cover in spite of the art being well done. Romita needs to work more on how Supes looks.
Variant Cover Art – 5: I’ve been a fan of Gabriele Dell’Otto’s since I first saw his work in Marvel’s Secret War back in 2004. This is an amazing image. It’s perfect for this title and the Man of Steel.

I honestly have lost all passion for the comic at this point. Most likely I wont till Brian “I ruined superman” bendis is gone.
I am not going to dignify this run with my dollars.
You can’t say J.R. Jr. is a great artist a few lines below that horrendous cover. Sorry, but no.
He does it all the time. I’m almost starting to think he’s trolling us at this point. He points out all the stuff that JRJr can’t do and then proceeds to call him amazing.
