I’m happy to see this news. Sometimes I see comments from other sites saying that after the first season quality of production will drop dramatically. After seeing the season two premier, I’m happy to say that so far that’s not the case. It does make me wonder why would some say that? It’s like they want the show to fail. And if that’s the case, then that’s just sad to hear that there are some who want Superman and Lois to fail. I for one am really happy about the positive reception for this series. I am so looking forward… Read more »

I don’t know if those ratings can be classified as impressive. With a scarcity of new shows right now and a popular super hero like Superman out there, the show’s number does not rate with Smallville, whose Season 1 had an average 8.68 rating and Season 2 had an average 8.79. In fact, in its last season (Season 10), the show had an average 8.93 rating. If Smallville had the miniscule numbers that Superman and Lois are getting, the show would have been canceled during its first season. The reason the show does not get those numbers is because Tulloch… Read more »

You very clearly don’t get how ratings have changed over time, nor what they mean in terms of a show’s viability. Television changed a lot over the last twenty years. If Smallville had been a streaming show, its ratings would likely be comparable to Superman and Lois. If you hate Tulloch, that’s like, your opinion man, and that’s fine, hate on, but it’s apples and oranges to compare ratings from 2000 and now. Comics used to sell 8 million copies an issue, now 10,000 is a solid hit. Times change. Sadly, the argument from popularity fallacy doesn’t. You should stop… Read more »

If you think 800,000 to 900,000 is impressive, then the bar has been lowered. The Flash averaged 4.25 million viewers in its second season. I am a Superman fan here, but this show is lacking in general excitement around it. It is not a pop culture phenomenon and there just is no hype around it. You have to blame something here why an average man on the street person still has no clue it exists or are compelled to watch it. I am no rube here and numbers still count for something. It gets down to the cast and story.… Read more »

No problem. I understand quite clearly when you have no proof for your conclusion, or an adequate argument, it is easy to say someone is wrong. Good luck with that. Let’s see what “impressive” numbers this show has by the end of the season.

Kind of a arse ain’t you. Look Neal right you cant compare TV and ratings to now with the streaming and all that. All of CW is in trouble. If rumors are true all the CW shows will be gone if it gets sold to Nexstar. It bye bye to the CW you know. Also Supergepetto (that a stupid name by the way) for CW that actually good for them in ratings. Also you and everyone on this website needs to come to realize and accept while Superman is still the most recognizable superhero ever he not as popular with… Read more »

Also i love Superman and Lois and think it great storytelling and the writers get Superman. I wish HBO Max would pick it up

When people cannot support their weak arguments, the first thing they do is say you are wrong (without any specific proof) and then go to name calling, which was done twice here. This site is supposed to be fun for fans of Superman. There should be no problem with constructive criticism, except there are are always a few individuals who take opinions to heart as if they are creators of the show. I have been a fan of Superman for over 40 years. Outside of Superman IV (and even in that film I found a few things to like) I… Read more »

I can only speak for myself but I find nothing wrong with Tulloch’s acting. I like her acting. And I definitely would be willing enough to rewatch Supergirl on HBOMax and rewatch Superman and Lois on HBOMax as well. I admit that in my own opinion Supergirl wasn’t perfect. There were a lot of things that I didnt like, mostly in the final season. For example, to much focus on the “Superfriends” instead of the main character Supergirl in her final season. However, I still very much enjoyed seeing Melissa Benoist as Supergirl to be willing enough to rewatch the… Read more »

I’m curious about what the combined total number of viewers were for season one domestically, internationally, the viewers for HBOmax, and dvr recordings. And after season two finishes what the info for all four categories for season two will be as well. I really do think that this series will end up going up to seven or eight seasons. No offense to The Flash series( which I’m a fan of)or Legends of Tomarrow, but I think that both of their series has been of lesser quality these past couple of years with their plot, stories, and special effects. And yet they are… Read more »
