December 12, 2016: DC Super Heroes Store Opens in Sarawak, Borneo

Sarawak, one of the two Malaysian states on the island of Borneo, is the latest location for a new DC Comics Super Heroes store featuring a variety of DC character merchandise. Officially launched this month, the store is the first ever 1500-square-feet location at The Spring Shopping Mall.

DC Comics Super Heroes opened its first flagship store at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur in 2011 and has since captured a huge fan base in Malaysia. There are now a total of five stores in Kuala Lumpur, one store in Malacca, one in Johor, and a new store that was recently launched in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.

The DC Comics Super Heroes store is operated by JT Network Sdn Bhd in partnership with Warner Bros Consumer Products, on behalf of DC Entertainment.

The store carries a wide range of apparel, accessories, gifts and novelties that channels the excitement and energy of iconic DC characters. The store creates a unique experience that appeals to comic fanatics and fashion trendsetters alike.

DC’s iconic characters include Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman and other Justice League members such as The Flash, Aquaman, Cyborg and Green Lantern, as well as fan-favorite supervillains such as The Joker and Harley Quinn.

“Shoppers from Kuching as well as other areas in Sarawak can shop without travelling to West Malaysia” said JT Network Sdn Bhd director Bernard Yeoh.

He added that the management will bring in several new designs and thematic events for the residents of East Malaysia such as the recent successful ‘Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice’ event which featured a life-sized replica of the Batmobile at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur.
