This story came across my desk last week, but I wasn’t sure if it was “Superman related” enough to warrant a post… After quite a few emails, it proved unresistable…
Dean Cain, who played Superman in the “Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman” TV series, was sworn in as a reserve office by the Saint Anthony Police Department in Idaho on Tuesday, June 19.
“Cpl. Anderson supporting local area law enforcement as St. Anthony PD swears in Reserve Officer Dean Cain who played Superman in the TV series Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman. #BackTheBlue,” the state police wrote on Twitter.
Dean Cain told The Daily Caller, “I have always been a man of action,” he told the outlet. “Real heroes don’t wear capes. Real Superheroes wear uniforms and badges and stethoscopes! Real superheroes are members of our military, law enforcement, and first responders.”
Cain will help combat online predators and bullying for the “All About Kids” initiative.
That’s awesome. Good for him.
Way to go Dean Cain! You are a true Superman.
I like this man more and more every year.
