The CW released a behind-the-scenes video showcasing many of the “Easter Eggs” included in the 5-part “Crisis on Infinite Earths” crossover event.
From references to “Superman: The Movie” and “Superman III,” to cameo appearances by Will Wheaton, Burt Ward, and Robert Whul, to artwork from Jerry Ordway and references to “Kingdom Come,” this video lists some of the more obscure references you might have missed.
POSSIBLE SPOILER WARNING. DON’T READ THIS COMMENT IF YOU DON’T WANT A HINT OF WHAT HAPPENED IN THIS CROSSOVER FINALE!!!! POSSIBLE SPOILER WARNING. DON’T READ THIS COMMENT IF YOU DON’T WANT A HINT OF WHAT HAPPENED IN THIS CROSSOVER FINALE!!!! Sorry about all the spoiler warnings Superman Homepage. I just wanted to be fair to other members before I start talking. Ok now that I have given fair enough warning here goes what I have to say about tonight’s episode. Without going into spoilers about tonight’s crossover event, I have this to say. Was this crossover perfect? No it wasn’t.There… Read more »
On the whole, I’d give it a (barely) 7 out of 10. The first and third installments were near perfect (and I’m still not crying over Flash-90, you are!), but the second installment took the two appearances that I was most excited about and crapped all over them. SPOILERS/ After ten years and 218 episodes of Smallville, I’m owed Tom Welling in a cap. Whether he likes it or not! And after almost thirty years of Kevin Conroy being the one, true Batman (not named Adam West), they didn’t need to turn him into an awful version of the character… Read more »
I’m happy to say that you were right about earth 68 surviving afriend. 🙂
Which one was Earth-68?
Oops! I meant earth 96. My mistake.Sorry about the confusion afriend. My fingers got ahead of me. Ha ha ha
😀
I’m glad that you were right about Routh’s Superman coming back afriend.
🙂
According to the all knowing Wikipedia (*snicker*) Earth-96 does still exist, and not to get your hopes up too high, all the other currently existing Earths are setting for current and/or upcoming shows…
Also, not sure if you noticed, but for his “flight into the sunset” moment, they altered Routh’s Kingdom Come suit; instead of being a red “slash” on black, it was on yellow. Maybe showing some brighter days ahead?
I noticed the yellow on the emblem too. It was a great touch to his suit! 😀
Let’s hope that they give him his own series, or at the very least plan on having him return from time to time and in crossovers. 🙂
Hey! Where’d my comment go?!
Caught them all, I was particularly giddy for Whul and Wolfman, I like the more obscure references that aren’t blatant fanservice.
I also caught all the Easter Eggs. Nothing gets by me.
Was the red checkered jacket that Tom’s Clark wore for the crossover similar to the red checkered jacket that Clark wore when he left Smallville in Superman the movie?
