The Guardian of the Gateway seemed understanding of their skepticism. “I cannot reveal all the details here, but I can tell you this: the threat is a being of immense power, one that can traverse between dimensions and wreak havoc. It feeds on chaos and destruction, threatening to destabilize the very fabric of reality.”
Clark furrowed his brow, deep in thought. “And why do you believe I’m the one who can stop it?”
The Guardian pointed at Clark’s chest. “Superman, your strength, your unwavering dedication to justice, and your unique abilities make you a beacon of hope across dimensions. You possess a power that transcends time and space.”
Lois crossed her arms, considering the information carefully. “If we decide to help, what’s the plan? How do we stop this threat?”
The Guardian nodded. “If you choose to accept, I will guide you through the portal to gather allies from different dimensions, each with their own unique abilities. Together, you will confront the threat, but be warned, the journey will not be easy, and the choices you make will shape the outcome.”
Clark took a deep breath, feeling the weight of the decision ahead. “We’ll need some time to think about it. This is a lot to take in.”
The Guardian nodded. “Of course, I understand. But know that time is of the essence. When you are ready, return here, and I will guide you through the portal.”
With that, the Guardian retreated into the shadows, leaving Clark and Lois alone in the chamber with their thoughts. The fate of the multiverse hung in the balance, and they had a monumental decision to make.
