Casting Description for The CW’s Lois Lane Role

It was announced this past week that not only would Superman be returning for The CW’s superhero crossover event in December, but that Lois Lane would be joining him, with casting for the role yet to have taken place.

According to ThatHashTagShow.com, a character description and casting announcement sheds more light on how this version of Lois Lane will be portrayed, starring alongside Tyler Hoechlin’s Superman/Clark Kent for the first and third episodes of the 3-part crossover event.

“Daughter of US General Sam Lane, Lois is a tenacious, righteous and stubborn reporter who will go to any length to get the story and almost never fails.”

The CW is looking to cast a “Caucasian woman in her early 30s” to play the role of Lois.

The Daily Planet’s intrepid reporter has been mentioned on “Supergirl” many times over the past three seasons, with her sister Lucy spending time with Kara and friends in Season 2.

The special 3-night crossover event will begin in “The Flash” on Sunday, December 9 at 8.00pm ET, and then continue in “Arrow” on Monday, December 10 at 8.00pm ET, and will conclude with “Supergirl” on Tuesday, December 11 at 8.00pm ET.

I so can’t wait to find out who they will cast for the part of Lois Lane! I hope that there will be a Superman and Lois flight scene.

I think bringing Lois into this series borderlines on ridiculous.

That’s fine, that’s just my opinion.I cannot speak for others, I can only speak for myself when I say that I look forward to what the crossover will bring. Redcape, I’m not going to debate which version is better than the other and why. I feel that there is no winner in these debates.… Read more »

I, respectfully, disagree. 🙂

Superman/Clark Kent has been mentioned by many characters many times on Supergirl. Superman/Clark Kent has appeared on Supergirl in at least 4 episodes. Lois Lane has been mentioned by characters many times on Supergirl. To me, it seems logical for her to be brought into the show. I would think it would be ridiculous for her not to be brought in at some point of the show. But that’s me. 🙂

I am curious, though, why would bringing Lois onto the show borderline ridiculous? I really don’t see how it is?
