Rating – 5 (out of 5): Wow. That was a packed episode.
Packed in a good way. I was sure the episode was wrapping up at the halfway mark and then I realized there was more than twenty minutes left. And then they shot William and probably killed him and WHAT THE FRESH HELL, SUPERGIRL?
WHY ARE YOU SO GOOD RIGHT HERE AT THE END?
I mean, I’m glad they’re going out so strong, but I was not expecting that.
And this is on top of the seriously dramatic “fight” between Alex and Kara and Lex and Nxly finally making that love connection.
That “fight” actually gave me some serious feels. On one hand I understand where Alex was coming from. She wants what is best for her daughter and it’s only natural that she would want Esme to have a full and rich life where she was free to be herself. On the other hand, looking at the woman you spent 12 years doing everything in your power to make sure she doesn’t use her abilities and lying to her about working for a government agency doesn’t exactly put you on the high ground here. I thought the resolution was a little unfair to Kara, but at least a healthy argument was had. And they made up before the party.
I feel REALLY bad for Brainy and Nia. Those kids have been through a lot and to have this thrown in their way is really unfair. You know. Like life can be. The scene at the party was one of the best between them.
Similarly, Nxly finally starting to fall for Lex played out nicely and I bought the moment that it happened. Cryer and Sergeant have a great chemistry and despite them being…you know…evil I’m kind of pulling for them.
DID I MENTION THEY SHOT AND POTENTIALLY KILLED WILLIAM AT THE END OF THE EPISODE?
I’m now really sorry to see the show go, but they are going out on a high note, so I at least have that.

Another strong episode. Some cool action scenes (Supergirl bursting out of her containment suit) and they finally let J’onn be useful in a fight! The scene with William legit shocked me. It was too much more brutal that Lex used a gun as opposed to a “comic book blast” from his gauntlet. The show actually made me care about William in the past few episodes (which was probably a clue he was doomed). Hoping they find some solution to the Dreamer/Brainy issue. Spoiler Alert! Spoiler Alert! Spoiler Alert! I give this episode a 2 and a half out of 5 rating. I thought the episode was alright. I just wish Kara had more scenes. This is her final season and there should be more spotlight and story for her. I hope that next week’s series finale will have her in most of the scenes and as the main focus for the show.
