“Truth,Justice and a better world”? According to whom? And in what way?Call me old fashioned, but I prefer the traditional saying “Truth Justice and the American way.” Superman’s motto is part of his history. I really don’t think it’s a good idea to change it. I mean I could understand “Truth Justice and freedom” or “Truth, Justice and hope” as alternatives, but “a better world” sounds like what a dictator might say. Look at injustice Superman for example. I also wanted to add that Superman and his son have gone through some changes in the past few years. From Clark getting rid of his secret identity, to Jon rapidly aging from a little kid to a young adult. In fact in last week’s opinion poll, the “secret identity should be brought back” came in first place and “Clark is Superman not Jon” in second place. Now Superman has left earth, his son becomes the new Superman, changes the costume and now the motto. How much more will they change Superman before he becomes unrecognizable? I just wanted to say that even though I prefer that Superman keep his “Truth Justice and the American” way motto, I don’t want to know what his politics are. I don’t even mix him in with my own personal politics. I just think that fans can decide for themselves on that. What one fan believes for Superman’s politics may not be what another fan believes.
