Didn’t the actor who played superboy in season one voice superman for the superman shorts inspired by the Fleischer series? There was an episode with Bizzaro if I remember correctly.

Seeing these in a theater would be fun! Either as a marathon or pair them up with a classic movies from the same era and run old newsreels just to really put you in the time.

I would love to watch these in the theater. But I live too far away from Oakland, and I don’t have a big screen at my place. But one thing is for sure, whether big screen or small screen, these animated shorts are classics. I truly treasure them.

Hey Spidey2878, it’s difficult for me to chose a favorite episode of the Fleischer Superman animated series, because I like so many of them. But the episode with the mad scientist and his laser was the first episode that I ever watched when I was a kid. It’s the episode I always think of whenever discussion comes up about the Fleischer Superman animated series.

The image of Superman beating up a laser beam sticks with you.

Yeah, that is a great episode. I also thought Superman’s theme song for this series was cool.

Manual Roto-scope by hand is a lost art form indeed but it still rules after all these years… as these animations flow effortlessly on and on…
