May 10, 2011: "Smallville" Nominated for 8 Leo Awards

Leo Awards "Smallville" has been nominated for eight Leo Awards for 2011.

In its 10th and final season, "Smallville" received a nomination for Best Dramatic Series. Glen Winter and Kevin Fair are competing for the Best Direction in a Dramatic Series category for their episodes "Shield" and "Lazarus" respectively. Glen Winter also received a nomination in the Best Cinematography in a Dramatic Series category for "Abandoned". While James Philpott received a nomination for Best Production Design in a Dramatic Series for his work on the episode "Shield". The episode "Warrior" and its costume designer Melanie Williams have been nominated in the Best Costume Design in a Dramatic Series category. The Best Guest Performance by a Male in a Dramatic Series category also finds two "Smallville" nominees, in the form of Mackenzie Gray (for his appearance as Lex Luthor's clone) and Michael Dangerfield (as Gordon Godfrey), competing for this award.

The Celebration Awards Ceremony for the 2011 Leo Awards will take place on Wednesday, June 8 at Club 560, while the Gala Awards Ceremony will be held on Saturday, June 11 at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver, Canada.
