Who's Who in the Superman Comics
Lucy Lane
Lois Lane's kid sister, Lucy Lane worked as a flight attendant before being afflicted by a mysterious blindness. In a deep depression about her life, Lucy came into contact with the first Bizarro when it caught her as she was attempting a suicidal plunge from her apartment window. From her contact with the creature, and the chalky residue from the crystallized skin, Lucy began to regain her sight. When Superman had a final confrontation with this Bizarro, the creature actually threw itself into the last barrage, allowing Superman to demolish the clone body raining the strange dust down on Lucy and Lois below. Lucy Lane regained her sight and Bizarro was no more (TMOS #5).
At one time Lucy dated Jimmy Olsen. She's had dangerous encounters with Sleez - who kidnapped her (AOS #475), Deathstroke - who shot and injured her (SUP #68), and Vampire Ruthven - who took mental control over her (MOS #14).
Later she met and married Ron Troupe, the African American columnist who took over Clark's position for a time when he was "killed" by Doomsday. They had a baby recently, which caused strife with Lucy's mother and father, but eventually they confronted their racism and learned to love their new son-in-law.
She currently remains happily married.
First Appearance: TMOS #5
