Following the addition of achievements daily/weekly challenges, ranked ladder play, and daily login rewards into the PC game, weekly classic playable comics expands a core part of what fans have loved about DC Dual Force during the Open Beta. DC Dual Force is licensed by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment on behalf of DC.
“When we started developing DC Dual Force, we wanted to set ourselves apart by creating a really fun solo-play experience that fans could enjoy with new adventures every week,” said Tobin Lent, COO of CCG Lab. “Of course, we want to deliver a dynamic competitive CCG experience, because head-to-head play is a great way for many players to play regularly. Partnering with DC presented a fantastic opportunity for us to innovate, by allowing fans to play through amazing comics, earn unique prizes, and feel a deeper connection with their favorite storylines and characters. We feel like we really deliver on this experience with our weekly playable comics.”
The first weekly comic premiering on launch day will be available to everyone for free, starting a regular cycle of a new, free-to-play comic every other week. The second and all intervening weeks’ comics will be available to DC Dual Force subscribers, making it so they have new, immersive, solo play experiences every week throughout the year.
For $9.99 a month, DC Dual Force subscribers get access to the full catalog of all classic playable comics published to date, plus monthly mini-sets, each containing a mix of 10 unique cards tied to the month’s theme (like the Green Lantern and Shazam! mini-sets available for sale in-game right now); 10 booster packs each month; and premium daily login rewards, like a Battle Pass – all for $9.99 per month!
The first two weekly classic playable comics are Parts 1 and 2 of Flashpoint. Both are available in-game now. Superman/Shazam: First Thunder, Part 1 is coming September 19, followed by Part 2 for subscribers September 26.

Based on DC’s comic-book universe, DC Dual Force allows players to experience epic-level combat strategy with their favorite DC Super Hero or Super-Villain – From Aquaman and Batman to The Joker and Lex Luthor – and everything in Between! In DC Dual Force, you pair your favorite with another Leader from the DC Universe, connecting super friends, like Batman and Wonder Woman, or creating unusual alliances, like Black Adam and… Superman? Then, you surround them with Recruits (other Super Heroes and Super-Villains) along with Actions themed to work well with your ultimate duo. In the end, playing your DC Dual Force deck feels like you’re in the middle of a fight themed to the Super Heroes (or Super-Villains) you’ve partnered with.
Beyond competitive PvP play, DC Dual Force uniquely allows players to experience classic comics by playing through portions of these stories in PvE play. For example, you can enter Justice League: Origin, and help our heroes defend Earth against Darkseid! New playable comics will be added each week to continue your solo-play adventure.
