Mattel has unveiled images of their San Diego Comic-Con exclusive “Action Comics #1” Superman figure.
The Hollywood Reporter states: “The most valuable comic, Action Comics No. 1, is now a Hot Wheel confection as the green sedan and Superman become a diorama that looks like a slabbed copy of the 1938 comic. (As toy collectors know, the original packaging is a major part of the appeal and collectability of SDCC exclusives.)”
Based on the famous 1938 cover depicting Superman’s first appearance in “Action Comics #1”, the Hot Wheels DC Superman Action Comics #1 will sell for $20.
The 2018 San Diego Comic-Con runs July 19-22 at the San Diego Convention Center.
