Brad Schwartz, the president of The CW, revealed at a press event in New York earlier today that the Season 3 finale of “Superman & Lois” is “amazing”.
“You’ve got some Lex Luthor in there… I don’t want to give any spoilers, but the end of the season is great – and it’s got a bit of a cliffhanger.”
Interestingly, Schwartz couldn’t yet divulge if “Superman & Lois” would continue on for a fourth season at The CW that while the series is “very strong” it is “expensive [and] doesn’t make money for us.”
With a decision on the future of “Superman & Lois” coming “sooner [rather] than later,” Schwartz did state that The CW doesn’t own the rights to prior seasons of the series. They are available on HBO Max. If The CW decides to pass on a fourth season for “Superman & Lois” it is speculated that Warner Bros. may decide to have the series picked up by the rebadged Max streaming service.
The next episode of “Superman & Lois” (Season 3, Episode 9) is titled “The Dress,” and is scheduled to air on The CW in the USA on Tuesday, May 23 at 8.00pm ET/PT.
