LEGO has announced that they’ll be releasing a new line of “DC Super Hero Girls” figures and accessories.
The line will feature 11 female DC characters, including Wonder Woman, Batgirl, Supergirl, Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy, Bumblebee, Flash, Eclipso, Lena Luther, Lashina, and Mad Harriet.
“[The aim of] DC Super Hero Girls [is to] provide children with a relatable world filled with aspirational characters, immersive stories, and action-packed missions that inspire girls… to be smart, courageous and empowered to be an everyday Super Hero.”
The LEGO line of “DC Super Hero Girls” is scheduled for a release on December 1, 2016.
Bit of a departure from the usual “Lego people” style, isn’t it? I wonder what motivated them to go this route?
Actually Lego has already been using that figure style for its girl-oriented Lego Friends subline, so that’s probably the reason they used it here too.
Thanks! I was unaware of that.
