The voting booth for our 20th annual awards ceremony for the world of Superman has closed!

Voting began on November 16, 2020 and ended at 11.59pm EST on December 16, 2020.

The 2020 SHIELD Awards gave you, the fans, the opportunity to voice your opinions about comic books with a 2020 cover date, Superman related Movies, TV shows, and Superman merchandise released in 2020.

Everyone who voted in the 2020 SHIELD Awards automatically went into the draw for a chance to win both the Superman 2CH IR Helicopter and the Superman 2CH IR Flying Figure Helicopter Toy thanks to FUN.com.

The winner is: Michael Evensen.

Brian Michael Bendis was shunned once again this year, with Robert Venditti edging out Scott Snyder as your fan favorite Comic Book Writer for 2020, likely more for his work on the digital first series “Superman: Man of Tomorrow” than anything else.

How interesting that the digital-first “Superman: Man of Tomorrow” took out top place by a fair margin in 2020, proving that good writing will always out trump big name writers.

BEST “SUPERGIRL” EPISODE

While the percentage of people who did NOT watch “Supergirl” in 2020 rose by a few percentage points, the favorite episode amongst fans was a close race, with “Deus Lex Machina” coming out the winner. In this episode Lex proceeds to lay an intricate plan to bring Lena closer to him, defeat Leviathan’s latest attack, and pit Supergirl against Leviathan. We also find out how Lex came into power after Crisis.
