Batman arrives to save the day along with Red Hood, Artemis and Bizarro.
A shocked Circe is stunned to discover Batman used his ingenuity to overcome her magic and as all hell breaks loose Batman uses his secret to free Deadman, Zatanna, Wonder Woman and Superman from the bewitching. Her trickery exposed, Circe still fights hard with her minions but the heroes win the day. The win is not without a caveat as one reluctant ally loses his life. Is everything as it seems?
Story – 3: Well this story crashed and burned, it didn’t even have an ending! I view the whole thing as a devolution of a brilliant concept and it’s left me very disappointed. The whole thing became a platform for Circe to gloat and ultimately be defeated in a particularly dull way. The saving grace was Ra’s Al Ghul taking revenge after realizing he’d been duped since day one. I really disliked Batman’s explanation for saving the day it felt like an afterthought to write out of a corner.
Can we return to the spectacular stuff that the book began with?
Art – 3: Not entirely sure what was happening to the art here. The pencils dominated but the inking was a bit lighter then I would have liked. The pages felt a little overstuffed with art but lacking in depth. It had a definite 90s feel to it.
Cover Art – 4: A supernatural, almost hedonistic feel to the cover and its pastel coloring. Slightly misleading given it should be Circe and not the Trinity but I really like it.
Variant Cover Art – 5: Easily the best part of the issue. I am in awe of how beautiful this is. Forget the final DaVinci, this is a masterpiece!

Yeah so, is this the end of the arc? It’s hard to tell, i just ended, no wrap up!
And the art certainly does feel like 90’s Wildstorm.
