November 15, 2016: “Batman v Superman” Nominated for People’s Choice Award

peoples-choice-awardsThe ballot for the 2017 People’s Choice Awards is now officially locked, with fans having chosen their favorite movies, TV shows, and actors as nominees in this year’s awards.

“Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” has been nominated in the “Favorite Action Movie” category, and is up against “Captain America: Civil War,” “Deadpool,” “Suicide Squad,” and “X-Men: Apocalypse”.

Amy Adams will take on Blake Lively, Emily Blunt, Julia Roberts, and Meryl Streep for Favorite Dramatic Movie Actress.

The People’s Choice Awards 2017 will air on January 18, 2017.

Huh. You know, I loved the BVS Ultimate Cut, but given the reaction to both that and the theatrical version, I had quite a few doubts that it would be nominated for anything outside of a Razzie. It’s good to be wrong in this case. Hope it wins and Henry Cavill (NOT Ben Affleck, even though I like him and his version of Batman) gets something for himself, too!
