June 14, 2018: Gene Luen Yang Unveils Artwork for "Superman Smashes The Klan"

Writer Gene Luen Yang has given us a sneak peek at the artwork for his upcoming DC Zoom periodical "Superman Smashes The Klan".

Although no artist is credited in Yang's post on his website, the image shows Superman standing with Lois Lane and Jimmy Olsen on his left, along with an man in a trenchcoat and two young people, a teenage boy in a baseball uniform and a younger girl wearing a dress.

In February DC Entertainment announced plans for two new graphic novel imprints aimed at younger readers: "DC Zoom", which will feature stories for middle school readers, and "DC Ink", which will focus on young adults. "Superman Smashes The Klan" will be released under the DC Zoom imprint.

"Superman Smashes The Klan" will be released as periodicals first, then collected in trade paperback format.

While there's no release date for "Superman Smashes The Klan" at this point in time, fans can look forward to other DC Zoom projects, including "Super Sons: The Polarshield Project" by Ridley Pearson and illustrated by Ile Gonzalez set to debut in April 2019. "DC Super Hero Girls: Spaced Out" written by Shea Fontana with art by Agnes Garbowska will follow in May 2019.
