January 21, 2004: Pre-Order CGC 9.8 NM/MT Grade Copies of First Jim Lee Drawn Superman
Comic book collectors can pre-order guaranteed CGC NM/MT 9.8-grade issues of the first Jim Lee-drawn Superman, #204, due to release April 2004. Cost is just US$39.95, which includes all CGC (Comics Guaranty, LLC) grading fees and shipping.The books are offered through Colossus Comics, who with one of the highest approval ratings on ebay has a reputation for "bomb-proof shipping" and "outstanding value" (id: smortensen). Colossus Comics is also known for its pre-order and subscription services to any new comic title at a CGC 9.8 grade.
CGC 9.8 Pre-Order Details: Superman #204, as well as any individual new comic, may be ordered two months in advance for just US$39.95 per book, which includes all shipping, grading, insurance and cover price costs. Limited quantities of Superman #204 and other popular titles may be ordered with less than two months notice. The 9.8-grade books are archived in CGC's tamper-evident holder and delivered approximately one month after issue date, to allow for grading.
