September 30, 2003: Kristin Kreuk Talks “Smallville” Season 3
Kristin Kreuk was interviewed by both the New York Post and the NY Daily News about the up-coming third season of "Smallville".Here's an excerpt from the NY Post article... and be warned, there are some spoilers...
'SMALLVILLE " is going to heat up this year.
Lana Lang - the love of teen Superman's life - is going finally to discover that she's head-over-heels for the man of steel.
"She's pursuing Clark this season more than she ever has," said Kristin Kreuk, 20, who plays Lang on the hit WB drama about a teenaged Clark Kent (Tom Welling) who has yet to realize that he is Superman.
"She's kind of come to the realization that she really loves him, he's a great guy and she doesn't want to lose him," Kreuk told The Post yesterday.
But "they have issues," she conceeded.
"Clark loves her so much and she adores him but can't fully comprehend why he can't open up to her. So they do this kind of dance.
"I don't think I'm giving too much away by saying that they're not in a relationship this year - but their friendship develops in a lot of ways."

"Smallville" returns tomorrow at 8 p.m. on the WB with Kreuk, 20, playing Lana Lang.
When the season ended in May, Clark was wearing a mood-altering kryptonite ring that turned him into a clubgoer - and a bank robber.
In tomorrow's episode, Lana goes to Metropolis to retrieve Clark, but he resists her and sets their affair off course.
"Lana and Clark just don't know how to be together properly, even though they love each other a lot," Kreuk said. "He distances himself from [Lana] because he doesn't want to hurt her. So she's sort of pursuing him and he's backing off, which is different than it's usually been."
