Batman and his team assault Superman's compound. He's upset when the Batman of the Tangent universe kills guards.

The Tangent Superman appears on the main Earth and begins to walk among its people, disgraced by the hungry and homeless and aiming to fix them.

Batman's team ventures further into the compound, only to be attacked by mechanical beasts.

Tangent Superman gives forty thousand dollars to a homeless family he encounters, and continues to tour New Earth.

Batman and his team finish off the metal beasts, and the Lantern calls forth Plastic Man of Tangent Earth to break down a door after resuscitating him. They find the captive heroes, and realize that the Tangent Superman is on New Earth as Tangent Superman meets the New Earth Supes.

Back-Up Story: "History Lesson: Chapter Seven"

Guy continues the story of the Secret Six and Tangent Flash, as the girl he speaks to undresses herself into what appears to be low-cut battle gear. She explains they're going to coup Tangent Superman.

3Story - 3: Unfortunately, this plot, while good, suffered from a few flaws. There just wasn't much going on. Fighting giant robots? Nameless guards? This didn't add much.

Beyond that, Batman standing idly by while killing went on, with a brief verbal chastisement, really chapped me, and was lame.

The compelling philosophy, Tangent Superman facing our ills, was used for about half the issue to great result, but only half. The payoff was great.

5Art - 5: Absolutely compelling for the most part, with the exception of the strangeness of the last page, where Power Girl looks like some kind of misshapen she-beast, the newspapers are printed backward, and Superman cocks his head like he's trying to break his own neck.

3Back-up Story - 3: Unfortunately, not too much unique here, and kind of a brief foray into the history. The Secret Six is introduced, and has their butt kicked, and we learn about the Tangent Flash, who, while interesting, is not as compelling as the others so far, and seems a bit like a Fantastic Four riff to a degree.

4Back-up Art - 4: Conveys what it's supposed to, as it's supposed to, and in a compelling manner. Good stuff.

3Cover Art - 3: Decent, but I'm not sure what the heck is going on in that reflection. Is it the glove reflected into the globe? Also, Supes has a funny looking nose in the pic.
