Kevin Smith has shared a behind-the-scenes video on his Facebook page showing us what goes in to making Melissa Benoist fly as Supergirl on the TV series.

In the video we see Melissa Benoist hoisted up in the air using a harness and rig in front of a huge green screen, while the cast and crew around her do their job to make Supergirl fly. Also in the video are Eric Carrasco (co-writer on the episode), Supergirl’s stunt-double, and a stand-in mannequin.
Episode 9 of Season 2 of “Supergirl” will be directed by Kevin Smith. The episode will be titled “Supergirl Lives”, a tribute to Smith’s involvement in the never-made movie “Superman Lives”.
The “Supergirl Lives” episode is scheduled to air in December.
Girl works hard. It cannot be easy on one’s back and hips being up in that rig. Hope they take every precaution so she doesn’t have problems in the future.
