While “Zack Snyder’s Justice League” was watched by 1.8 million HBO Max accounts in its first five minutes (according to Samba TV), that number isn’t as fantastic as it might sound, ranking behind the 2.2 million accounts who watched “Wonder Woman 1984” when it premiered on HBO Max back in December 2020.
“Zack Snyder’s Justice League” did outperform the first weekend premiere of “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier” from Disney+/Marvel’s, which reached 1.7 million households.
“Zack Snyder’s Justice League” is directed by Snyder, written by Chris Terrio and stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Jason Momoa, Gal Gadot, Ray Fisher, Ezra Miller, Willem Dafoe, Jesse Eisenberg, Jeremy Irons, Diane Lane, Connie Nielsen and J. K. Simmons. The film premiered on March 18 on HBO Max.

It’s fine. It’s a R-rated, four-hours-long movie and it’s not Christmas. Not that it matters if they don’t actually intend to continue this series in any form, but subscription numbers (new subs, specifically) are more relevant.
