Zack Snyder’s “Justice League” No Longer in 4-Parts

Zack Snyder appears to have revealed that the HBO Max release of his version of “Justice League” will not be a 4-part miniseries as originally thought, but will now be a 4-hour movie available all at once.

Snyder made this revelation when responding to a fan’s question on the Vero social media network.

There still is no announcement about when Zack Snyder’s “Justice League” will premiere on HBO Max.

I’m not acting like I know, but I’d guess they did this because of how the analytics would look. Snyder’s box office record at the B.O. has huge weekend to weekend drops. His films are decisive and have very muddled stories with confusing dream sequences. So to me, they probably realized that this movie wasn’t tracking as well as they would have liked. That most of the auidence would drop to EP 2, more for EP 3, and even more for EP 4. It would be bad numbers and make the decision to finance it seem all that worse. But… Read more »

Your personal analytical attempt is just that. Never saw anything as confusing or muddled as well. “They probably realized”???? You don’t know that. As for dropping episodes, that may be what you would do.

The bottom line here is that, if you liked MoS and BvS. then those of us that did will like and appreciate what we’re going to see. This isn’t going to be some wild new version, unlike the first two. It’s a continuation. If people didn’t like his first two then why bother to watch this? All we’re going to do is read repetitive complaints.

It’s not an unreasonable theory, though. If they wanted the 4 hour episodes, because they wanted their own Mandalorian, it’s not unreasonable to think that they decided splitting a film in four parts will probably backfire. It’s structurally different to a TV show and Snyder’s films do tend to be confusing and self-indulgent, they run the risk of tiring an audience out over long periods. Additionally, the Snyder Cut has accumulated something of a mythic status. Even people that weren’t interested in it before will want to check it out. For that segment of the audience, it’s a safer bet… Read more »

No one can argue that Snyder doesn’t have a definite style. But this was under construction when BvS was in the theaters so it makes sense that it will be a continuation regarding of his format. When you look at the actual scene time he needed money for to completer this, it, according to Zack wasn’t very much in terms of additional scenes. I predict that we’re going to have the same “feel” we had while watching BvS. Also with the four hour running length, it sorta points in the direction that this will be both parts combined into one… Read more »

I don’t have a problem with this at all. The whole episodic thing would’ve been weird if it was given to us all at once and/or waiting once a week for the next ep. would’ve been annoying.

In that case, I’m gonna need an uninterrupted weekend to assimilate and analyze, lol!

In that case I’m gonna need a big bucket of snacks and popcorn in between. I’ll have to wait till it’s out on blueray. This is actually good. Was not sure at first if showing it in episodes would make sense, but the one shot is definitely a go for me.
