Will you be reading the “Dark Nights: Death Metal” comic book story?

It appears as though Superman fans aren’t as keen on the Dark Multiverse as DC Comics would think, with over 50% of fans unlikely to read the upcoming “Death Metal” story… and that’s not including fans who say they don’t read comic books at all.

Yeah, I don’t about this one. I guess I’ll wait to see what the reviews are for this one. I’m not digging the long hair look for Superman.

The poll results are really surprising: Most voters say they will not read this story. Really?! Why?
I mean this one looks so fresh, exciting and elseworld-ish, I just can´t wait to read it.
This story is at last something different and not like the usual stuff we have read so many times already.

What would be fresh would be if they could go any substantial length of time just telling good stories with good characters instead of shredding the premise or the costumes. They always want to sell it on “oooh lookit! we’re shaking up the status quo. So edgy!”

Well when that’s always your go-to gimmick then there is no status quo to shake up is there? Just the occasional lull before the next big bloated grimdark event or tearing down of the mythos.

I didn’t vote on this one, but I probably won’t be reading this. There’s just nothing there for me, this whole thing is so… ’80s; not 80’s Superman. I’d read it if it was ’80s Superman.
