Zack Snyder has been busy lately. Not only is the director readying his version of “Justice League” for its (apparent) March premiere on HBO Max, but it appears he’s also been hard at work preparing a remastered version of “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice”.
We don’t know at this point in time where or when this version of the film will be released, or why Snyder felt the need to remaster the film with a different aspect ratio. An “Ultimate Edition” of the film was released on Blu-ray, featuring 30 additional minutes of previously unseen footage that helped fill out some plot holes.
Snyder posted a video on his Vero social media account showing an early portion of the film’s “Knightmare” scene featuring Ben Affleck as Batman. The footage is shown in the longer 1.43:1 aspect ration as opposed to the film’s original 2.35:1 ratio. The clip is also considerably lighter, with a different color grading.
New vs old. I love the new aspect ratio and the new colour grading. Can’t wait to see this version of BvS and the film that comes after it. @ZackSnyder #UsUnited #ZackSnydersJusticeLeague pic.twitter.com/Pw7NYxs8tl

I honestly don’t care. I loved BVS UE and I would in any format so long as I can see everything I need to see in a scene. Of course, great quality isn’t something to cough or sneeze at, so I say, go for it, Zack!
