What Superman TV Series Do Fans Want? – Poll Results

In the latest Superman Homepage Member Poll we asked you the following question:

Nearly half of you want him to have his own TV series, with another 24% of you calling for a new Superman animated series. The actual “Superman and Lois” TV series (coming in 2021) didn’t get much love, receiving the same votes as a “Lois & Clark” revival.

First I want to thank Steve Younis, and all of the SupermanHomepage’s staff for making this voting poll. This poll is proof that fans want to see Brandon Routh back as Superman for his own Superman series. Thank you for the chance to vote for Brandon Routh’s Superman. I hope that someone in charge of WB movies and shows will take notice of this latest voting poll, and make this series happen so that Brandon Routh may again return to the role of Superman. See WB? The fans want a Brandon Routh Superman series. Please WB, make this series happen.… Read more »

I voted for the animated series. Sorry, but I can’t say I’m particularly interested in a Routh Superman series. I mean, I wouldn’t knock it if it happened, but it’s not my priority. Similarly, much as I love Lois and Clark, I can’t say I see a point to a revival series and I don’t care at all about the new Superman and Lois show.   A fresh animated series, to dethrone STAS? I see potential there. Heck, I know this was specifically for TV, but I’ll go one step further and argue for a big-budget theatrical animated Superman release.… Read more »

All of the choices on this pole are great. I love the idea of a Superman series led by Brandon Routh. I’d totally support it. I could see Routh as TV’s Superman while Henry Cavill is the movie world’s Superman. Both actors are great! Having said that (and I truly meant what I said), I voted for an animated Superman TV series. Simply put, I am a fan of animation (I should’ve went into animation as a career but sadly didn’t). I love “Superman The Animated Series.” I’d love to see another Superman animated series along those lines. There are… Read more »

If they were doing to do a Routh series would you be wanting it to be doing the Kingdom Come stuff or catching up with him on the Post-Crisis version of his Earth?

I was thinking about that, and maybe a three part TV movie about the events prior to crisis followed by a series that takes place after crisis. So when after part three ends, viewers could watch crisis, then after they would start watching a series that takes place after the events of crisis. How about a Superman series for each season? Sure that would mean smaller episodes but then that would mean more Superman content for viewers to watch. Tyler’s show could be in the spring. Henry could take summer for the movies. An animated Superman series could also air… Read more »

How about a Superman meets Superman team up movie based off of the JSA Thy Kingdom Come story? In it, the Kingdom Come Superman meets earth one Superman. Routh could play the Kindom Come Superman while Cavill could play his MoS Superman for a movie adaption of the story. It’s now possible thanks to what happened in the crisis crossover when Miller Flash met Gusten Flash. Imagine it, Routh Superman meets Cavill Superman to team up against Magog. It could be a big hit.

Regarding BR. As long as it’s not on the CW then maybe. And even that would totally depend on how much money is supporting it.

Actually yeah, that’s a good point. I take it as a given that any potential Superman series will be on HBO Max and/or DC Universe. If it’s on the CW, it’s a lost cause and a waste of potential.

This is good that we are all talking about Brandon’s Superman again. Hopefully WB will notice that fans are still interested and are still talking about Brandon’s Superman and will give us something with Brandon’s Superman. Weather if it’s a movie or a series or a TV movie hopefully something. I mean at the end of the crossover they left the door wide open for Brandon to return to the Superman role. 😀

This was a tough choice for me. I’m looking forward to Tyler’s Superman and would be awesome if Routh’s Superman show is real. However I choose a new Superman animated series cuz we haven’t seen a standalone Superman animated series since Superman: The animated Series in the late 90’s. Would it be awesome to have the whole Superman family in it? (Superman, Supergirl, Superboy, Power Girl, Steel, and Krypto, as well as Lois Lane, Jimmy, and Perry) There would be lots of fun stories for each character.

This definitely was a tough choice approuty. The Superman animated series option was also a fantastic choice. I’m hoping that WB takes notice of fans wanting an animated series as well as all of the other great picks for a Superman series. The more we get for Superman the better I believe. 🙂
I can just picture it. If all of these shows get made it would be a very very successful time for Superman.
