Hrrm. That whole thing about if or not Lois and Clark are what they think they are worries me a little. Does that mean they are somehow not the Lois and Clark from before N52 or is it more like what Wally was saying about 10 years having been lost?

My read has always been they are the TRUE Lois and Clark of Earth-0, but they were off-world when it was revised/10 years were stolen, so substitutes were created. Meaning the Batman, Wonder Woman, etc are still “real” and the old friends of Rebirth Lois and Clark, but with “cosmic amnesia” lol. Rebirth Lois and Clark simply think they themselves are refugees from another Earth that couldn’t be found, and they don’t know that they ARE home, but someone remodeled while they were away.

That would seem to jibe with what’s been hinted at so far.

Same I’ve been saying this since the New 52 Superman died and this Supes took over. I mean its been made clear that this is still the Pre-Flashpoint world but with 10 years of their lives wiped away. This means that everyone is still the “originals” Except for everyone “New-52” that has a doppleganger (and died in an energy flash) i.e. Lois Lane, Superman, and dum dum dum Lana Lang.

Who do I think escaped from Mr. Oz? POSSIBLE SPOILER ALERT!
(Pre-Flashpoint) Lana Lang

Not gonna lie.

For a moment I thought this was going to be an article theorizing and talking about the whole mystery, rather than just a DC All Access YouTube post.

Kinda sad that I don’t get to see a writer’s personal opinion at full detail.

I’ll be honest, I haven’t been this caught up ina mystery in a Superman book for quite some time… Maybe since The Reign Of The Supermen.
I’m certainly enjoying it so far!

Agree. Superman #18 was fantastic. The mysterious Clark Kent was genuinely creepy. I can’t wait for the next issue.

I agree with MattComics I’m little worried too. I’m loving Superman, again and blew thru the 1st 17 issues of both Superman & Action Comics, and loving that we have the Pre-Flash Point Superman & Lois back again. But now, this new storyline makes me worried by the end of it, that we won’t have (our) Superman or Lois Lane anymore, instead a Superman, that is not a our Superman the pre- Flash Point Superman, but Not the New 52 Superman either, but a totally new Superman all together. Thus new and updated Costume for Superman. I hope I’m wrong and… Read more »

Judging by the cover of the later issues Superman’s history will most likely still be intact so I’m not worried there.

I hope the review goes up soon becuase I NEED TO TALK ABOUT THIS ISSUE LOL It was AMAZING! I’m really excited for this storyline, and not worried one bit.

It was gut wrenching and in a way action packed. Loved it.

SEMI SPOILER ALERT Judging by the cover of the later issues Superman’s history will most likely still be intact so I’m not worried there.

Yes it certainly was! Writers have certainly figured out how to keep the mystery going for sure!
I read the Krypto scene a couple of times to figure out who the other “guy” is… Can’t wait until the next issue!

Just heard this theory, but what if the other Clark was……..Mr. Myx, I thought it might be a good theory but either way like always I’m stoked and ready for the next issue

That is a definite possibility. Especially since this fake Clark Kent left the photo album that should not have existed in this “time period” or the blue fire engulfing everything essentially erasing it. Mxy has always been portrayed as a blue pop, or blinking in and out of existence. So this is a good possibility.

Considering taking up Superman comic reading but unsure where to purchase or start. I don’t notice a standalone Superman comic on my news stands (UK) rather Batman alongside.

Can anyone put me in the correct direction please to access a standalone Superman magazine inc ordering perhaps online? Do comic readers have binders & can they be purchased? Is there a certain number I should start from or just latest issue?

All replies welcome!

Jim

Hey Jim,
Start with Rebirth Superman special, then follow the Superman title all the way until you are current. Along side that, read Action Comics, which also relaunched at Rebirth, but not at #1.

If you still want to go back further, pick up the trade to DC convergence, then Lois and Clark trade. That should get you up to date with Superman somewhat.
As for ordering online, just check the Amazon links here at the Homepage, they may help with what you are looking for.

Thanks Kal L, looking through the various comics on Ebay it is a little confusing. The issue above looks good so should I track back from this one after purchasing above issue? Are these the main Superman comics nowadays?

Sorry but I’ve never read the comics despite being 46yrs of age but do hold Superman The Movie close to my heart. I’d like to read & perhaps commence a collection. Any advice would be helpful to begin my reading.

Thanks
Jim

if you’ve seen the 4 interlocked covers of the superman reborn saga thats starts with superman 18-he seems to change his boot color mid story. Why would he-mid story/. I think the N52 superman and the pre N52 superman are going to MERGE – i think we will find out that they are actually the same superman but N52 was somehow plucked out of the first
