I, for one, am sick and tired of the “evil Superman” stories. It is a cheap and easy plotline and it has worn out its welcome. I didn’t buy into the “Injustice” stories for this reason, and I CERTAINLY do not care to see this aberration of a movie. Is there not SOMEONE who GETS what Superman is all about and can write to THAT?
I thin that those Hollywood types don’t understand what Superman is. These guys would rather see Superman as a dark edgy. I suppose that some people thin that just because Superman protect lives and property and rescuing cats out of a tree. There’s more to the Man of Steel than that. But they thin that this stuff is boring and ‘no one can be that good. There’s got to be something wrong with this guy.’ So now we have Brightburn. Yea, that’s pretty sad. I lost faith in WB, DC, as well as those dumb game developers.

I think that kid with his weird mask thing on looks like he’s doing a budget Dr. Who cosplay of an Ood.
But yeah this thing can brightburn in hell.
This is a very cheaply, budget wise, made movie. It’s going to rely on cheap tactics through out.
I enjoyed it as a horror movie. The actors were good in it as well. It wasn’t anything groundbreaking though and doesn’t transcend the superhero genre in anyway shape or form. It played it safe in my opinion and didn’t do anything clever beyond its initial concept (which isn’t that original or clever). I thought they were going to play with the mythology more but it didn’t at all.
