With the digital release of “The Death of Superman” animated movie, a sneak peek at the sequel “Reign of the Supermen” is available to watch online.
“Reign of the Supermen” is set to drop in early 2019.
“The Death of Superman” is available digitally now, and will be released on Ultra HD Blu-ray Combo Pack, Blu-ray Combo Pack and DVD August 7, 2018.
I can’t wait to see this. It’s going to be interesting to see how it all unfolds as an animated movie.

I really want to see this animated film, and I haven’t even seen the first part yet. I wonder how they will tell this story. I have read the comics, so I know what happens, but to see it in animated form, I can’t wait to see this!
I like what I’ve seen in this trailer so far. I just wish it would be out sooner. In the words of a certain charature in Superman 2,” Man, this is going to be good!”
I an genuinely excited for this because it is a crucial part of the story that has never been given its due in animation nor live action. I hope they include th Superman 500 bit of Jonathan bringing him back.
Ive waited 25 years to see this arc adapted to film in some form. I Love this story!! But even with one whole anime dedicated to just the “reign” story, i feel like we need more time. The climax should be Cyborg vs Erad with Coast City being destroyed in the process. Then get a 3rd anime of “The Return” with Black suit Superman and Engine City. Also a very small annoyance of mine: Erad doesnt have his full cowl attached to his glasses. That always irked me when other artists would short-change the costume. LoL

Looks so good! In the comics they had you guessing on weather the Eradicator or Cyborg Superman were the real thing during the early issues… I wonder if that will be at play in some scenes here?
Sadly they probably wont do the Coast City and Mongul angle, but that’s not a deal breaker… Really looking forward to this!
I really hope that the destruction of Coast City is included. That would mean we can get Emerald Twilight as an unofficial sequel (just like in the comix)… which would lead to the War of Light, then Blackest Night!
Blackest Night would be so cool to see. I hope that they make that into an animated film. Earth2 Zombie Superman vs Earth1 Superman. And orange lantern Luthor would be so cool. It could also lead into a animated movie on Lex Luthor the black ring, and conclude with reign of doomsday. I would like to see these movies happen.
