Warner Bros. Sets Release Date for Super Pets Movie

Warner Bros. Pictures revealed today that the “Super Pets” movie, which was announced in August last year, will be released in theaters on May 21, 2021.

“DC Super Pets”, from directors Jared Stern and Sam Levine and producer Patty Hicks, is based on characters like Krypto the Super Dog, Streaky the Super Cat, Beppo the Super Monkey and Comet the Super Horse. The Super Pets concept has been around since “Adventure Comics #293” (dated February 1962), and have also been seen in animated form across a number of cartoon and animated series over the years.

It’s not known yet whether the upcoming “Super Pets” movie will be based on DC’s “Legion of Super-Pets” or the Cartoon Network series, or whether it will be something completely fresh and new. With very little details available as yet, we’ll have to wait and see just how many of the Superman family of Super Pets will be included in the film.

I gotta admit. I’m a bit confused by this news. I mean I like Krypto, but is this an animated film or live action film?
I hope that it’s a good film.

My guess would be something animated. Kinda like Secret Life of Pets but with capes.

Hahaa!! You’ve got to love it. We won’t be gettin any more Superman movies for a loooooong time but Streaky the Super-Cat is coming to cinemas. I’m not being sarcastic. I genuinely find the whole thing quite funny. I’ll probably go see it for a hoot.

Everything but Superman. A sad state of affairs to be sure.

This would depend on if it’s a cartoon or not. Otherwise,…one pooper scooper to go please!!
